Introducing The Next Generation - Sequential Vapour Injection

                                    DieselGas Sequent Systems

The next generation of dieselgas has arrived.  Utilising the latest sequential vapour injection technology, the DieselGas Sequent Systems family delivers even more power with greater fuel savings than ever before.

The high pressure vapour injection used in the DieselGas Sequent System allows constant, split second adjustments to meet all operating conditions.  The system is self-learning, so it can adapt to your driving style, automatically moving from economy to power delivery as driving conditions demand.  Calculations are carried out at a rate of ten per second – the injector then responds in time for the next revolution of the crankshaft!  This is now the new benchmark for DieselGas.

The DieselGas Sequent Systems family is made up of three models.  Sequent II is fitted to all 4WD, light commercial and smaller diesel vehicles.  Sequent III is fitted to large road transport vehicles up to 700hp.  Sequent IV is a modular system to fit large horsepower engines.  Regardless of which system is used, they all offer the same benefits provided by the superior software used in all Sequent Systems.

In our position at the forefront of Diesel Gas systems, DieselGas Technologies now only fits DieselGas Sequent Systems.  We do not fit the Diesel Gas Australia Gen IV system.

Benefits of DieselGas Sequent Systems

Improved Diesel Economy.  All DieselGas Sequent Systems allows LPG to be used at idle, substituting a percentage of diesel required for idle.  Over extended idle periods, such as in traffic, this substitution adds up to a significant diesel reduction. This reduction is on top of the usual economy benefits of Diesel Gas.

Improved Power Delivery.  Injecting gas from idle improves power delivery right off the mark.  There is no delay waiting for revs or boost pressure to build up - gas flow is ramped up instantly as you take off.

Increased LPG Range.  The absolute accuracy of DieselGas Sequent Systems guarantees LPG is only used when it is needed.  Gas flow is shut off instantly and completely for gear changes, under brakes and when coasting downhill.  With this level of control, LPG consumption is reduced by around 20%, and in some cases more.

Automatic Self Tuning.  DieselGas Sequent Systems programs itself as you drive! It constantly adapts to your driving style, updating the injection rate to suit your vehicle.  The system constantly adjusts to deliver performance or economy as the conditions require.  This means that your DieselGas Sequent System is tuned with 100% accuracy to deliver the best possible results.

Injection Accuracy and Control.  The DieselGas Sequent Systems processor reads all sensors continously and constantly adjusts gas flow.  The injector responds in time for the next revolution of the crankshaft.  This level of accuracy ensures that only the correct amount of LPG is injected at precisely the right time.  This level of accuracy and control far surpasses the accuracy of a "jet" system - a simple jet cannot possibly provide the accuracy that allows the engine to operate at maximum efficiency under all driving conditions.  True electronic injection control is mandatory to get the best from your dieselgas system.  A true electronic control system does not use, and shouldn't need, a jet or fixed orifice to control LPG introduction.  The Sequent family does not use jets - its precision is due to highly accurate injection control.

Engine Protection.  DieselGas Sequent Systems also offers unsurpassed engine protection - it constantly monitors engine coolant temperature and exhaust gas temperatures.  In the event of an engine overheat, regardless of the cause, the system will either reduce or completely shut down gas flow.  It will also shut down gas flow in the event of an engine over rev or over boost.  The system will not switch on until engine temperature has reached 30 degrees - this is to ensure LPG does not affect cold starting performance.

Driver Interface.  System status is constantly indicated to the driver via dash mounted LED.  If any faults are logged the driver is immediatey informed as the system shuts itself down.  LPG tank level is also indicated.

Advanced Diagnosis.  The DieselGas Sequent Systems ECU constantly data logs the last 250 hours of driving.  All sensor signals are recorded, as is each LPG tank refill.  The system also logs, in real time, each time the vehicle ignition is cycled and each time the system is turned on and off.  This ensures faults are quickly detected and the driver alerted.  Faults can then be diagnosed and cleared via an internet connection.  This data also allows us to monitor actual driving conditions to check the system is delivering the best possible results for you.

Upgrades Available. Regardless of when your system is purchased, all DieselGas Sequent Systems can be upgraded to the current software package.  So any improvements made in the future can be downloaded, bringing your system up to date with the latest technology.  This means your system will never be obsolete or superceded.

Durability and Reliability.  The system has been designed to operate in mining, road transport and agricultural conditions.  These same requirements are used for all light vehicle installations.  The whole system, including the processor and wiring harness, can be submerged to 1.2 metres, and has been shock proofed to perform faultlessly in the toughest conditions.

What is DieselGas?

What if there was a system that could be fitted to your diesel 4WD, light commercial vehicle or campervan that could not only provide more power and torque, but guaranteed better economy and cheaper running costs? What if this system also guaranteed extended range and eliminated the black exhaust plume?

What if this system also cleaned your engine internally, and kept the engine oil cleaner for longer?

So, a system that provides up to 20% more power and torque, provides up to a 20% reduction in fuel costs, increases range by up to 20%, reduces engine wear, clears the black plume and reduces all other emissions?

What? Surely this is impossible?

Up until now, yes. However, an LPG injection system for diesel engines, developed and produced here in Australia, does all of this, no question. You can run your diesel on gas!

How does it Work?

A small amount of LPG is injected under pressure into the engine via the air intake system. This gas acts as an accelerant to increase combustion effiency, ensuring all of the diesel injected is burnt at the best possible time. Most diesel engines have an effiency rate of 75-80%, with the remainder of the diesel being burnt at times that does not produce power.  This is a waste.  With a DieselGas Sequent System, this effiency rate goes up to 95-98% or higher .

The system is computer controlled, using sensors to determine engine load and speed. The system is self tuning, and constantly adjusts the LPG injection to deliver performance or economy as the conditions require.  For more information, please see the Technical section.

Will it fit my vehicle or application?

If your vehicle is diesel, this system can be fitted. You can convert any diesel to gas.  Turbocharged or naturally aspirated, mechanical or electronic injection - and the better the engine goes to begin with, the better it will go afterwards, although all engines will see a dramatic improvement.

The system works on any diesel engine running in any application - 4WD, commercial, road or rail transport, power generation or irrigation.  It also suits two-stroke variants.

An LPG tank is fitted to the vehicle. A gas switch/gauge module is mounted on the dash. The computer is mounted under the bonnet.  The system itself is non-invasive, and can be removed and fitted to another vehicle. No engine modification is required. See Installation section for more information and photos.

Does the LPG government rebate apply to my vehicle?

If it is diesel and you are fitting an LPG injection system, yes. At our request, the wording on the Ausindustry website has been changed to read "suitable new or used petrol or diesel vehicle".  Diesel gas systems are eligible for the rebate.  For more information go to the Installation page.
